Job Requirements:
Responsibilities
As an Operations Manager, your key duties will include:
1. Implementing and Evaluating Procedures:
Develop and implement new administrative procedures specific to transportation operations to enhance overall efficiency and streamline day-to-day workflows.
2. Coordinating Office and Fleet Services:
Plan and coordinate office and fleet management services, including vehicle scheduling, maintenance, accommodation for drivers, and procurement of transportation-related equipment and supplies.
3. Administrative Oversight:
Oversee administrative activities of the trucking operations, ensuring that all office and logistics procedures align with company policies and regulatory standards.
4. Prioritizing and Managing Workflows:
Establish work priorities for dispatchers, drivers, and support staff to ensure timely deliveries, compliance with deadlines, and adherence to operational procedures.
5. Data Management and Reporting:
Assemble operational data, manage fleet documentation, and prepare detailed periodic and special reports on delivery performance, fleet utilization, and maintenance schedules.
6. Communication Flow:
Coordinate the flow of communication between dispatchers, drivers, and the management team, ensuring clarity and consistency across all levels of the organization.
7. Maintenance of Records:
Maintain accurate and organized records of vehicle maintenance schedules, compliance reports, and operational data in both digital and physical formats to meet regulatory and company requirements.
Skills and Competencies
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and logistics management.
• Proficiency in logistics software and scheduling tools.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
