Ono’s of Japan is hiring Sushi Chef. Job

Ono’s of Japan is looking for full-time, permanent Head Chef.

You will be responsible for the following:
• Prepare and cook sushi menus including sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi etc.
• Make various kinds of appetizers.
• Create new menus and recipes to cater to the customers’ demand.
• Supervise cooks and kitchen helpers in their relevant duties of preparation, cooking and handling food.
• Inspect ingredients for quality and freshness and supervising all food preparation.
• Take charge of keeping the kitchen clean and safe.
• Ensure quality of food and portion control.
• Train and teach cooking skills.

You need to meet the following qualification:
3-5 years of commercial cooking experience is required.
Completion of Secondary school is required.
Language of work is English.

Your hourly wage will be $38.50.
Benefits: 4 % vacation pay.
