One (1) Medical Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist in Toronto, ON Job

Green Clinic West is looking for One (1) Medical Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist to perform duties, including the following:

• Collect, label, sort and prepare blood, tissue and other samples from patients
• Collect blood specimens from patients by venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
• Log and validate patient samples and prepare them for testing
• Set up medical laboratory equipment
• Prepare chemical reagents to be combined with biological samples for testing
• Conduct routine laboratory tests and sample analyses
• Perform quality assurance of testing techniques and record results
• Clean and maintain medical laboratory and medical laboratory equipment.
• May provide front-desk support
• Use and maintain electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure accurate documentation.

Terms of Employment:
• Salary: $36.92 per hour ($5600 per month) / 35 Hours per week
• Permanent, Full Time
• Start date: immediately

Job requirements:
• Language: English
• Education: Completion of a college certificate program in medical laboratory science or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum experience of one (1) year
