One (1) Hairstylist Apprentice needed in Toronto, ON Job

H2GOA Hair Studio is looking for One (1) Hairstylist Apprentice
to perform the following duties under a certified hairstylist:

• Discuss clients’ hairstyle preferences, assess hair condition and advise on appropriate treatments or styles.
• Perform haircuts using various techniques (e.g., layering, texturizing, blunt cuts), trim, taper, curl, wave, perm based on client needs and hair type
• Style hair using tools such as blow dryers, curling irons, and straighteners to achieve desired looks.
• Apply hair color, highlights, lowlights, and other color treatments.
• Assess and treat damaged hair to restore health and appearance.
• Suggest shampoos, conditioners, and styling products tailored to individual hair needs.
• Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Keep detailed records of client services, preferences, and any product sensitivities or allergies.
• Address client feedback or concerns promptly and courteously.
• Work as part of a team with estheticians, nail technicians, and color specialists.
• Clean and style wigs and hair pieces
• Apply hair extensions
• May shampoo and rinse hair
• May perform receptionist duties and order supplies

Terms of Employment:
• Salary: $20 to $36 per hour (depending on experience)
• Permanent, Full Time/ 40.00 Hours per week
• Start date: immediately

Skills requirements:
• Education: Completion of a two- or three-year hairstyling apprenticeship program or completion of a college or other program in hairstyling combined with on-the-job training an asset but not mandatory
• Experience: minimum 1 year
• Language: English; Korean language an asset but not mandatory
