Office Administrator Job

We are seeking to hire an Office Administrator to join our growing and thriving business. Below is more information on what the role entails!

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

~ Provide general administrative support such as answering phones, managing emails, handling correspondence, maintaining supplies, ordering furniture etc.
~ Work in collaboration with the café manager, kitchen supervisor and other stakeholders to manage the café budget
~ Working in collaboration with the cafe manager to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies, such as health and safety standards or data protection laws for customers who subscribe to café newsletter
~ Keep files and documents organized in both physical and digital formats for easy retrieval.
~ Help organize and coordinate special events or promotions held at the cafe, including logistics, marketing materials, and customer communication.
~ Assist with tasks related to onboarding, employee records, and benefits administration of new and existing staff
~ Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, inventory, and other administrative data using appropriate software or systems.
~ Coordinate staff schedules, including shifts, breaks, and time-off requests. Maintain employee records and assist with payroll processing.
~ Work in collaboration with the café manager to monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies.
~ Place orders with suppliers as needed and track deliveries.
~ Keep accurate records of sales, expenses, and other financial transactions.
~ Assist with all license renewals and schedule/oversee all periodic inspections at the site
~ Processing deposits and prepayments and handling related billing matters for accurate accounting practices

Wages– This is a full-time permanent position at $31/hr for 35 hours per week. Room for salary increase depending on performance.

Education

~ High School Graduation is required
~ Completion of any program in business or administrative domain would be an asset but not mandatory
~ Understanding of POS and inventory software may come handy but not mandatory
~ Experience in office administration would be preferred but not mandatory
