Octopus Academy is seeking F/T Daycare Supervisors Job

Position Info:

• Position: Daycare Supervisor
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $37.00~$38.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 2
• Work Location: 12880 Clarke Place, Richmond, BC V6V 2H1

Job Duties:

• Develop, implement, and oversee childcare programs that support children’s the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of early childhood educators and assistants
• Lead staff in planning and organizing activities such as storytelling, singing, arts, and physical play to encourage creativity and learning
• Establish and enforce guidelines for behavior and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment
• Monitor daily routines, including meals, rest periods, and hygiene, ensuring children are properly assisted by staff
• Ensure that classrooms and play areas are clean and safe, and that toys and equipment are properly maintained
• Observe children’s behavior, support staff in addressing behavioral or developmental concerns, and communicate with parents when needed
• Prepare and maintain records, reports, and documentation related to children and staff
• Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies
• Attend staff meetings to review children’s progress and discuss any concerns with the team

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 2~3 years of experience in childcare is required
• Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and ECE Certificate
