Occupational therapy assistant Job

Deliver prescribed physiotherapy and occupational therapy interventions under the direction of a supervising therapist
Assist clients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and activities of daily living (ADL) retraining
Utilize assistive devices and adaptive equipment to support client independence and safety
Monitor and document clients' progress and report changes to the supervising PT/OT
Provide education to clients, families and caregivers on exercises, equipment usage, and strategies for maintaining independence
Completes documentation as required
Regularly assesses the patients surroundings to ensure a safe home environment

• Diploma in Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) or Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA/PTA) program from an accredited institution.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
