Security Industry Specialists, Inc. (SIS) is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist II to join our team in Culver City!
If you have a strong background in collections, cash application, and account reconciliation—and enjoy helping a team succeed—this could be the opportunity for you.
In this role, you will work closely with the Accounts Receivable Manager and provide day-to-day guidance to AR Clerks. You'll help ensure payments are processed accurately, outstanding balances are followed up on, and customer account issues are resolved efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
-Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and coordinate collection efforts for past-due accounts.
-Review payments, credits, and adjustments to ensure accurate and timely posting.
-Work with customers and internal departments to resolve payment disputes, short pays, and unapplied cash.
-Assist with cash application reconciliations and borrowing base calculations.
-Provide guidance and day-to-day support to Accounts Receivable Clerks.
-Identify opportunities to improve workflows and update standard operating procedures.
-Maintain accurate account documentation and escalate complex issues to the AR Manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 3 years of progressive Accounts Receivable experience, with a focus on collections and cash application.
- Previous team lead, supervisory, or mentoring experience.
- Experience monitoring aging reports and following through on collections.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or Workday.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and reporting.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to excellent customer service.
- Must be able to work 100% on-site in Culver City, CA.
