Job Description:
Our client, Northern Pipe Products in Fargo, North Dakota is seeking a curious, detail-oriented Senior Accountant who wants to go beyond the numbers to directly support operations and drive business insight. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a tight-knit, personable team, gain exposure to an ERP upgrade, and grow into broader financial leadership responsibilities.

In this role, you’ll lead key aspects of the month-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and resolving issues in partnership with accounting, operations, and other teams. You’ll manage complex accruals - including customer rebate programs -by analyzing trends, collaborating with budget owners, and adjusting estimates to ensure accurate payouts. You’ll support budgeting alongside the Controller, contribute to CAPEX planning and fixed asset accounting, and play an active role in audit readiness and SOX compliance. Additionally, you’ll oversee inventory accounting, including cycle counts, WIP and raw materials review, and variance analysis, while leveraging tools like Business Central and Power BI to provide meaningful financial insights.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 4+ years of experience (public accounting with manufacturing exposure considered), along with strong financial analysis skills and an understanding of manufacturing accounting and inventory. CPA or CMA is preferred. Success in this role requires curiosity, attention to detail, and a proactive, outgoing approach to collaboration—someone who asks questions, builds relationships across teams, and thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

If you're energized by understanding how a business truly operates, enjoy building strong relationships across teams, and take pride in owning and improving financial outcomes, this could be the right opportunity for you. EOE
