Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Technicians to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network infrastructure, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to ensuring the reliability and security of our organization's computer network. The Network Technician will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of our networking hardware and software.
Job Requirements:
Network Installation and Configuration:
Install and configure networking hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
Set up and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring proper connectivity and functionality.
Network Monitoring:
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
Use network monitoring tools to identify and address bottlenecks, network congestion, or other problems.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve network problems and outages promptly.
Collaborate with other IT professionals to troubleshoot complex issues.
Security Implementation:
Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.
Install and configure firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Network Upgrades and Expansion:
Plan and execute network upgrades to accommodate growing organizational needs.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance network performance.
Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
Keep records of network changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
User Support:
Provide support to end-users regarding network-related issues.
Assist in setting up and troubleshooting network connections for computers and devices.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with other IT professionals, such as system administrators and security experts, to ensure a seamless and secure IT environment.
Communicate effectively with team members and management about network-related projects and issues.
Training and Knowledge Transfer:
Train end-users on best practices for network usage and security.
Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to build a strong IT team.
