Network system administrator Job

Box and Lid Inc. located at 2092 Enterprise Way Suite 100B, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 6H7 is looking for 1 full-time and permanent Network System Administrator.(Even though this is a full-time position, part-time job seekers are encouraged to apply as well.) Salary is $38.40/hr and no of hours are 40 hours/week.

Main Duties:

Coordinate access to and use of computer networks.

Install and maintain software.

Maintain, troubleshoot and administer LANs, WANs, computer workstations, servers and peripheral equipment.

Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks.

Troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade web server hardware and software.

Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating systems.

Implement data, software and hardware security procedures.

Perform routine network start-up and shut-down and maintain control records.

Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.

Set up LANs and connections to the Internet.

Configure, maintain and troubleshoot network printers and peripheral equipment.

Employment requirements:

Completion of a college or other program in computer science, network administration, Web technology or a related field is required.
Experience an asset.
