Job Description:
Strategic Communication Planning and Implementation:
- Support an internal assessment of the current state of internal communications and internal communication needs and preferences across the network to inform a network-level internal communications strategy.
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies that support the network's objectives and enhance employee engagement across the network.
- Collaborate with network management teams to identify communication needs and deliver effective messaging across the groups to the network.
- Establish metrics to assess the effectiveness of internal communications and knowledge management initiatives, facilitate ongoing feedback from across the network, and communicate IC/KM updates/impact for the network.
Content Creation and Management
- The Internal Communications Manager will write and edit a variety of content and develop and execute internal campaigns, initiatives and events for NetCARE and other network management teams, including newsletters, announcements, intranet content, and presentations.
- Ensure all internal communications are consistent in tone and messaging, align with the network's brand and values, and advance network culture and strategic goals. This includes written communication as well as network presentations, webinars and videos.
- Contribute to the development of graphics/visuals to support the various internal communication efforts.
- A proven ability to curate relevant information and gather critical data points from a variety of stakeholders will be useful.
Knowledge Management
- Provide facilitation and strategic leadership for an ongoing knowledge management initiative to advance an internal KM strategy with a cross-network working group.
- Support prioritization of KM initiatives and work with network to test and refine appropriate tools, strategies, and technologies to advance KM strategic goals.
- Promote best practices for knowledge sharing and collaboration and advance learning practices and culture across various nodes within the network.
Network capacity strengthening
- Provide training and support for nodes and staff in developing the skills for improved internal communications and KM practices across the network.
- Facilitate forums, workshops, and training sessions to promote effective communication and knowledge sharing practices within the network.
- Provide support for graphic facilitation and learning synthesis of internal workshops.
General Network Support
- This role will also contribute to general network initiatives as part of the NetCARE team, including work across the three pillars of the team's work in network culture, processes, and support.
Special skills
Provide support for graphic facilitation and learning synthesis of internal workshops would be a plus.
MINIMUM:
- English fluency; Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- 5+ years in employee or internal communications.
- A bachelor's level education or equivalent work experience to achieve the following:
- Strong knowledge of leading practices in internal communications and change management impacts.
- Passion for strengthening organizational culture and productivity and building community.
- Demonstrated expertise in creative and content direction.
- Robust communication skills, especially across cultural lines
- Familiarity with behavior change communication and change management concepts
- Facilitation, hosting, and graphic recording skills
- Familiar with understanding, using, and synthesizing indicators for internal communications
- Strong leadership with emphasis on collaboration, proactive, flexible, can-do attitude.
- Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously.
- Relentless curiosity and a passion for simplifying the complex and developing communications tactics-and using innovative tools and technologies-that resonate with a diverse, global audience.
- Ability to navigate complexity with a learning mindset.
- Aptitude for influencing others and getting people on board with an idea or direction.

- Position may be based in any of the countries where Ipas is registered and/or operates.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Knowledge of international non-profits and/or global health and development
- Experience working in a global environment with staff in multiple overseas locations
- In addition to fluency in English, proficiency in Spanish, French, and/or Portuguese is a plus
