Position: Network Administrator
Location: Suite 208-1515 Broadway Street, Port Coquitlam BC V3C 6M2

Wages: $41 per hour for 40 hours per week

Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer the use of local area networks (LAN’s), wide area networks
(WAN’s), servers. computer workstations, connections to the Internet and equipment.
• Evaluating, testing, and installing computer hardware, networking software, operating system
software and software applications.
• Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of
computer networks.
• Provide technical problem-solving services to network users.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade server hardware and software.
• Implement network traffic and security monitoring software and optimize server performance.
• Perform routine network and server start-up, restart and shut down procedures.
• Perform, monitor, and troubleshoot data backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Conduct tests and perform security and quality controls.
• Control and monitor e-mail use, installed software and firewalls.
• Perform shell scripting or other basic scripting tasks.
• Train, advise and supervise colleagues.
• Track all changes in a support ticketing software.
Experience and Education:
• Degree or diploma in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Network Administrator or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
