Job Posting – Nanny / Home Child Care Provider (Live-out)
Location:
South Surrey (Employer’s home, live-out position)
Family Information:
We are a family with two children (one boy and one girl, aged 7 and 9).
Responsibilities:
• Provide daily care for two children (meals, companionship, playtime)
• Pick up and drop off children from school and after-school programs, ensuring safe travel
• Assist with homework, supervise study progress, and help develop good learning habits
• Accompany children in healthy and beneficial activities (reading, crafts, drawing, outdoor sports, games)
• Prepare nutritious and balanced meals and snacks, ensuring children’s healthy diet
• Organize children’s bedroom, tidy toys, wash and arrange their clothes, and maintain a clean and orderly environment
• Guide children to maintain good personal hygiene habits (hand washing, brushing teeth, organizing school bags and belongings)
• Pay attention to children’s emotional and psychological well-being, and communicate with parents in a timely manner
• Help children develop social etiquette and basic life skills
• Provide appropriate education and discipline under the parents’ guidance
• Assist parents with child-related household matters (such as preparing school supplies, registering for activities, etc.)
• Assist parents with reviewing school communications (emails, notices) and help coordinate children’s school activities
Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school
• Responsible, caring, and patient, with genuine love for children
• Previous childcare or housekeeping experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required (for school and activity pick-up/drop-off)
• Criminal record check required
• Ability to work long-term and consistently
• First Aid/CPR certification an asset
• Must arrange own commuting (live-out role)
• English language ability is required to communicate with the family and support children’s learning
Employment Terms:
• Wage: $19/hour
• Hours: 30 hours per week
• Vacation: 10 days paid vacation in accordance with BC labour standards
• Stable long-term employment
