Position: Nail Salon Manager

Duration/Type: Full Time

Location: 5 Woodlawn Rd W, Guelph, ON N1H 1G8

Salary: $36.15-$37.00 per hour; The gross salary paid is subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions such as EI and CPP.

Vacation: 4% of the gross salary

Hours of Work: 30-40 Hours a week; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the overall operations of the nail salon and delivery of personal care services.
• Establish and implement service standards, operational policies, and procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality client care.
• Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate nail technicians and salon staff; oversee daily service delivery and staff performance.
• Ensure all nail and esthetic services are performed in accordance with established quality standards and client expectations.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and safety in compliance with applicable health regulations.
• Manage client appointments, service flow, and overall customer experience to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Address client inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Develop and implement service offerings and client-focused strategies to enhance business growth and client retention.
• Monitor operational performance and prepare reports related to service delivery and business activities.
• Oversee inventory of salon supplies and ensure availability of products required for service delivery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming salon environment.

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory role in a personal care, salon, or customer service environment is required.
• Strong leadership and staff management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of nail care services, sanitation standards, and salon operations.
• Ability to manage daily operations in a fast-paced service environment.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills.
