MP&L Specialist (Materials Planning & Logistics) Job

- Implement and maintain internal standards and procedures for purchasing materials and subcomponents
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and requirements related to imports, transportation, tariffs, safety, and material handling
- Communicate with major customers to ensure satisfaction with product quality related to materials and logistics
- Review and approve performance evaluations of vendors and logistics service providers
- Submit vendor selection and sourcing proposals to upper management
- Review contractual commitments, customer specifications, and related documentation to determine logistics and support requirements
- Provide logistics systems, technology, and data to support efficient manufacturing and service operations
- Recommend logistics support requirements, including facility planning, staffing levels, safety, and maintenance plans
- Manage planning, purchasing, shipping, and tracking of all materials required for production
- Develop operational procedures and schedules for logistics activities
- Review daily shipment and delivery performance and direct logistics staff to resolve errors, delays, or issues
- Visit customer sites as needed to resolve logistics issues and ensure on-time delivery
- Prepare and submit reports on inbound and outbound shipments, inventory levels, and delivery performance to management
- Ensure all logistics activities adhere to company policies and all safety regulations

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in materials planning, logistics, or supply chain operations in automotive manufacturing
- Strong understanding of transportation, inventory management, and vendor coordination
- Experience working with OEM customers and logistics service providers
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
