Job Description:
FGL Precision Works Inc. is looking for full time Mould Maker at 475 Fenmar Dr, North York, ON M9L 2R6, Canada. There are 2 positions available.
Main duties are as follows but not limited to:
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations
• Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces
• Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, planing, drilling, precision grinding and other operations
• Fit and assemble machined mould, die, and metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools
• Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
• Complete and maintain inspection reports
• Experience with low pressure and high-pressure moulds
• Experience with new mould builds, mould preventative maintenance work (PM), and mold modification work
• Experience with spotting and finishing of mould and mould components
• Experience with mechanical functions and features of the whole mould.
Hours of work are 40 hours a week Mon-Fri (overtime pay after 44 hours). Pay is $29.60 per hour. Successful candidates must speak English and have completed secondary school. Minimum work experience is 2 years hands on experience.
