Job Duties:
Reporting to Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for:
• Safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of a range of traditional and sophisticated mining equipment.;
• Supporting the operation in preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work processes and providing feedback to optimize reliability;
• Adhering to and promoting all safety policies, procedures and systems;
• Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement of area activities or problem equipment;
• Perform daily tasks using Computer Maintenance Management Systems.

Experience Required:
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience
• Experience in an underground environment would be considered an asset
• Familiarity/experience with mining equipment such as Sandvik (loaders/trucks/drills), Atlas Copco/Epiroc
• (Jumbos), MacLean (bolters/scissor decks), and associated hydraulic/electrical/electronic/automation systems preferred

Education Required:
• Trade certification / Vocational program or equivalent experience.
• Certificate of Qualification in Heavy Equipment or Automotive mechanic would be considered an asset

Wage & Hours:
• Base Wage: $42.62/hr
• Current Schedule is 7/7 – 7 days on, 7 days off – alternate between days and nights.
• Day Shift Hours: 6am-6pm, Night Shift Hours: 6pm-6am.
• 12 hours/day - employees are paid a 84- hours bi-weekly
• Overtime begins after 80 hours/pay period

Type of Vacation:
Employees who start before July 1st will be eligible, after four months of continuous service, to five working days of vacation (40 hours) in their first calendar year. In the second calendar year of employment, they will be eligible for ten working days of vacation (80 hours). Subsequent eligibility for additional vacation will increase in accordance with our Annual Vacation Standard.

New employees with active service prior to July 1st of the year of hire will be granted two (2) personal floating holidays while 1 personal floating holiday will be granted for those with active service commencing on or after July 1st of the year of hire. Subsequent eligibility for personal floating holidays will be in accordance with our Personal Floating Holidays Standard.
