Mobile Crisis Services Provider – QMHP-A/C Job

About the Role
We’re seeking dedicated Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP-A/C) to provide mobile crisis response in the Hampton Roads area. This role is for professionals who want to make a direct impact by supporting individuals and families in their most urgent moments of need.

What You’ll Do
• Provide intensive one-to-one crisis services for individuals experiencing behavioral health emergencies.
• Implement effective crisis interventions and service plans.
• Teach and model problem-solving techniques.
• Coordinate transportation, appointments, and follow-up care as needed.
• Maintain consistent communication with referring agencies, providers, and families.
• Document service delivery promptly in accordance with DBHDS requirements.
• Participate in supervision, training, and interagency meetings.
• Support individuals and families with 24-hour crisis response coverage when assigned.
Qualifications
• Must qualify as a QMHP-A or QMHP-C under Virginia regulations.
• CPR and First Aid certified.
• Behavior management skills and knowledge of crisis intervention strategies.
• Familiarity with serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and community-based supports.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable DMV record, and proof of insurance.
• Successful completion of background and registry checks.
