Mine Maintenance Planner

Where will you work: 76 Rawhide Rd., Loving, NM 88256

Schedule: 9/80 (every other Friday off), 6am-3pm

Are you our next Mine Maintenance Planner?

The Mine Maintenance Planner plans maintenance activities across specific assigned areas of the operation based on asset strategies and the resultant activities required to achieve production requirements. This position provides in detail the source and sequence for all resources, materials, and equipment to complete each job safely and effectively and provide cost estimation to do so. Review feedback from the execution and strive to continuously improve future based on that feedback. The Mine Maintenance Planner is required to check on the progress of the projects and modify plans as needed.

What will you do?


  • Provide detailed job plan, identifying parts, tools, and resources required to execute work in a safe, cost-effective manner.

  • Follow-up on job packages to ensure they are correct and organized to execute as described by the work order. This should include job site visits to solicit job plan feedback.

  • Perform other duties as assigned. Building kits for rebuilds of reducers, pumps, or anything else that needs to repair.

  • MRO and catalogue any spare parts required for the rebuild of equipment.

  • Organize offsite repairs of mobile equipment and site vehicles.

  • Coordinate the yearly inspections of lifting equipment on location.


What do you need for this role?


  • High school/GED is required. Degree in Engineering is preferred.

  • 5+ years of related experience high preferred.

  • Leadership/communication skills, ability to get results through others and serve as a change agent when required.

  • Organizational skills in a facet paced industrial environment.

  • Proficiency in plant equipment and maintenance standards.

  • Knowledge of Predictive Maintenance, vibration/oil analysis, infrared, motor circuit analysis, ultrasound, and root cause failure analysis is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office Suite, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, Scheduling Tools. Maximo, PI, OIS, Kronos experience preferred.
