Type of Position: Permanent, full time

Our Sault Ste Marie, ON branch is currently seeking a Millwright to join our Services Team. We’re looking for knowledgeable, experienced, and highly motivated individuals who have great work ethic and enjoy working in a team-focused environment.

Job Duties:
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of mechanical equipment issues both in-shop and at customer sites.
• Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up.
• Comprehension of conveyor dynamics and material handling fundamentals.
• Perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
• Assemble machinery prior to installation.
• Start-up and testing.
• Understand and read Engineered Blueprints and drawings.
• Shutdown operations.
• Rigging and handling.
• Bearing, seals and packing.
• Keep work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly condition.
• Perform duties and operate equipment in a safe and satisfactory manner.
• Complete all jobs in a timely manner.

Skills Required:
• Must be able to work with minimal direction.
• Willingness to travel.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours.
• Willingness and ability to work in remote locations.

Experience Required:
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the industry (basic experience with rigging equipment, bulk material handling).

Education Required:
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• An asset: completion of technical school training or Journeyman Certificate in the Millwright Trade.

Wage & Hours: $38.18 / h
• Number of hours per day: 8
• Number of days per week: 5
• Number of hours per week: 40
• Overtime starts after how many hours: 8 hours per day
• Shift rotation: 8-10-12 hour shifts available.
