Join our team that shares your Passion & Heart for Canadian agriculture! Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as a Mill Supervisor for our Milling division based in Cambridge, ON.
As Mill Supervisor, the successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Mill Manager and will be responsible for mill-related activities, ensuring that the tasks are properly executed as per company’s standards. This position will primarily oversee the milling process, will provide support and guidance to the millers, including working scheduling.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Supervise milling operations with Mill Manager, assisting with training, inspections and contributing to continuous improvement projects in a meaningful way.
• Monitor, control and focus on improving efficiencies of the mill through communication, troubleshooting, and working with staff.
• Ensure all mills are running optimally and will assist hourly millers in daily mill performance checks.
• Plan and prepare for sanitation work orders and mill maintenance during provided downtime.
• Help provide coverage for the Production Supervisor and Mill Manager.
• Coordinate the organization, maintenance, and availability of flour sieves and milling consumable parts required for daily milling operations.
• Assist during downtime with heat treatments, cleaning and sifter maintenance.
• Maintain a safe working environment and a high standard of housekeeping and sanitation in accordance with BRCGS (Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards) and Food Safety procedures.
Position Requirements:

• Secondary School Diploma.
• Minimum of 4 years milling experience.
• A Diploma, Certificate, or Advanced Certificate in Flour Milling would be an asset.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Competent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Scheduling production experience would be an asset.
Compensation, Conditions and Benefits:
• Permanent, full-time position.
• Annual Wage: $85,000 to $92,000, depending on experience
• 40 hours of work per week.
• Overtime pay applicable after 40 hours of work per week.
• Eligibility for the company’s comprehensive benefits program after 3 months of continuous employment, including Extended Health and Dental Benefits, Life Insurance, AD&D, and Disability coverage.
• Participation in the Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) begins on the first day of the month following 12 months of continuous employment.
