Middle School Special Education Teacher Job

Teach Middle School children with Special needs like intellectually challenged, Autism, Down’s syndrome, Slow learners and learning disability, etc. Develop IEP using multisensory strategies, interdisciplinary approach, settings and variety of teaching tools, including computers, digital imaging equipment, projectors, etc. Use visual aids, music, voice inflection, and other effective teaching methods for student comprehension. Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction and develop social skills for students. Use, as required, the knowledge of basic first aid methods, techniques for lifting, positioning and moving physically challenged students. May have to assist with eating and toileting. Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. Maintain and report accurate and complete student records. Collaborate with other professionals to carry out school wide instructional activities. Attend staff meetings as required.
Relocation may be required to various unanticipated school sites for teaching assignments within the South East USA.

Bachelor’s Degree or Foreign Equivalency in Special Education or related, 2 years of teaching experience & GAPSC Special Education Certification or eligibility.
