Microbiologist Manager Job

Microbiologist Manager is needed to perform the following duties:

• Perform microbial testing to determine microbiological properties by performing microbial testing of commercial product raw materials, intermediaries, bulk samples, finished product samples, validation samples etc
• Perform routine quality control/quality assurance product testing on nutraceutical/pharmaceutical items as per USP <61>, <62> and BET testing and antibiotic assays
• Develop microbial protocols, test methods while supporting process validations and equipment qualifications;
• Develop and perform environmental monitoring, water system microbial testing for pathogens and other objectionable organisms
• Analyze and interpret results and findings from laboratory studies/investigations and prepare detailed scientific/technical reports,
• Draft and implement lab SOPs and ensure/monitor compliance by microbiologists and laboratory technicians;
• Supervise, mentor and train microbiologists, chemists and lab technicians;
• Ensure that quality system and safety regulations are maintained and ensure compliance with cGMP guidelines and FDA regulations etc.;
• Interact with the regulatory agencies, management, customers and development teams to interpret data and to guide on microbial analysis;
• Approximately 80% of the time will be spent in analyzing and testing microbiological properties, in-process samples and finished products while analyzing lab studies, conducting biological assays, preparing reports, calibrating instruments and drafting SOPs. Approximately 20% of the time will involve preparation of technical reports/scientific papers, mentoring/training microbiologists/chemists/lab technicians and conferring/interacting with scientists, management and ensuring maintenance of ICH guidelines, cGMP and US FDA regulations

Bachelor’s degree is required in Microbiology or Chemistry or Biological Science.
