Meter Servicer Job

Intellimeter Canada Inc., a sub-metering company in Pickering, Ontario, is seeking a reliable Meter Servicer to inspect, repair, test, and calibrate metering equipment. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position (30 hours per week, working hours 10:00 to 16:00) serving customers across urban and rural areas, including installation, repair, service, and on-site customer service. Work is performed outdoors, at heights, and is physically demanding.
Salary: $38.50 to $40.00 per hour (to be negotiated) / 30 hours per week. Benefits: health care plan.
Tasks:

Inspect products to determine the requirements for repair
Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power or specially designed tools
Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning
Calibrate products using hand tools
Inspect and test electrical equipment and apparatus
Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit

Experience and specialization: data collection equipment; green economy sector; area of specialization — meters, electronic.
Requirements:

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Language of work: English
Work conditions and physical capabilities: manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, physically demanding
Personal suitability: client focus, excellent oral communication, organized, reliability
