Salary: $30.00 per hour–The gross salary paid is subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.
Vacation: 4% of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 35-40 Hours a week; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
• Fabricate machined and metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools
• Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
• May set up and adjust machine tools accordingly to lineup specifications
• Compute dimensions and tolerances, and measure and layout work pieces
• Read work orders, charts, tables, or study sample parts to determine machining operations and the best sequence of operation
• Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner; perform change over, preventative maintenance, start up and shut down procedures
• Lay out reference points and patterns on metallic parts as per specifications
• Install fabricated components in final products
• Set up and operate metal working machines such as table-saws, punch-presses, drill-presses, grinders, routers, copy-routers as per lineup specifications
• Conduct inspections of machined parts as required, evaluating quality and specifications
• Move materials to storage or any other required space.
