MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST Job

ABOUT US: We are private contractor, now accepting applications for Mental Health Clinicians. This role offers a supportive professional work environment with the ability to set your own schedule and manage your caseload with support from A &S staff. Successful candidates will work alongside other associates and OUR staff to provide mental health and wellness care to individuals in Prince George and Surrounding Areas.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Educational Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or comparable degree with strong clinical skills
• Registered, or eligible to be registered, with their respective professional bodies
• Two years of related experience with responsibility for providing a range of community based mental health services.

Salary range: $38-42 /hour (Negotiable)
The Opportunity: As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Mental Health Clinician provides a range of mental health services to community members including individuals, families and groups within a First Nations cultural and socioeconomic setting. :
• Develops a case load through referral of individuals and groups from a &s and the community; Health, Social and Education service providers.
• Conducts research and prepares case histories on individuals, families and groups referred by other service providers.
• Prepares an agreed upon case plan with the client that contains goals for mental health issue modification/ amelioration and the behavioral change methods for achieving those goals.
• Develops a tailored approach to counseling and intervention methods through one, or a combination of individual psychotherapy, group therapy, couple’s therapy, family therapy, and personal enhancement interventions.
• Applies principles of behavioral change in administering individual, couples, group, and family counseling sessions to achieve goals.
