24-7 Consulting seeks a qualified Medical Recovery Technician for our fast-paced, high-call volume Nashville, TN Billing Office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
REVIEWING AND PROCESSING
Review Correspondence and Explanation of Benefits from Medical Insurance Carriers; Medical Claims Follow-Up; Correct and Resubmit Medical/Pharmacy Claims; Review and Verify Third Party Liability Update Requests
SCANNING AND UPLOADING MAIL CORRESPONDENCE:
Scan physical mail correspondence into the digital system. Upload scanned documents to the appropriate electronic folders or databases.
REVENUE CYCLE
Identify checks from insurance companies; Responsible for Insurance Company EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) and General Correspondence; Identify and sort inquiries; Identify correspondence sent to the wrong department.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
High School Diploma
Two years of PC and office experience
Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel
High-volume scanning experience
Health insurance and/or medical experience
Proficient in interpreting Explanation of Benefit summaries from multiple payers
