Wages: $36.00-$38.00 per hour for 30-40 hours per week
Terms of employment: Full time, Temporary
Job duties
• Safely transport patients by wheelchair or stretcher between care facilities, hospitals, and residences.
• Lift, turn, and properly position patients when transferring them into and out of the patient transfer vehicle to ensure safety and comfort.
• Observe and monitor patients' status during transit, providing proper care and attention to ensure their well-being, and report any notable changes to receiving facility staff.
• Administer first aid or basic medical assistance to injured or ill individuals in emergency situations during transit, strictly within the scope of competencies.
• Carry and hand over patient messages, medical reports, and facility requisitions between dispatchers, departments, and receiving medical facilities.
• Clean, sterilize, and maintain patient transport equipment (such as stretchers and wheelchairs) to ensure a hygienic and infection-free environment for patients.
• Maintain and replace the inventory of medical supplies, oxygen tanks, and disposable items on the patient transfer vehicles.
• Conduct regular daily inspections of the transfer vehicle and equipment to maintain functionality, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations.
Education: Completion of Secondary school is required
Work Experience: 7 months to 1 year of work experience in relevant field
