Title of the Position: Medical Administrative Assistant

Main duties:
• Interview patients to obtain case histories
• Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• Train staff in procedures and in use of current software
• Complete insurance and other claim forms
• Maintain filing system
• Order supplies and maintain inventory
• Determine and establish office procedures and routines
• Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review
• Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records
• Prepare draft agendas for meetings and take, transcribe and distribute minutes
• Perform data entry
• Provide customer service
• Conduct patient interviews, physical assessments and take medical histories
• All other relevant tasks

Terms of Employment: Permanent Full Time (35 hrs per week)
Language of Work: English
Wage: $36.10/hour

Location of Work: 782 Richmond Street, London, Ontario, N6A 3H5, Canada.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in clinical or healthcare environments, preferably within pediatric or specialist medical practices;
• At least 1–2 year post-secondary diploma in medical office administration, health systems management, or a related healthcare field is required;
• Experience working with ACCURO EMR;
• Attention to detail and work under pressure.
