Job Description:
Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to support equipment maintenance and reliability in a shop-based oilfield tools environment. The role requires mechanical aptitude and offers on-the-job training. Prior oilfield experience is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and repair on downhole tools and equipment in accordance with maintenance programs and reliability strategies.
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders, materials used, labor hours, and maintenance history.
Ensure all work is performed to established safety and quality standards.
Support shop-based continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment turnaround times and reduce downtime.
Collaborate on failure investigations and root cause analysis.
Participate in the reuse and cost-optimization of parts to reduce Cost of Service Delivery (CoSD).
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with maintenance and operational procedures.
Contribute to the productivity of the shop by supporting process improvements and technician efficiency.
Requirements:
6 months to 1 year of mechanical or technical experience (will train the right candidate).
Familiarity with mechanical tools and safe work practices.
Ability to follow technical procedures and document work accurately.
Prior experience working in oilfield or field-based environments is a plus.
Must be comfortable working 99% of the time in a shop setting.
