Mechanical Estimator Job

The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting project planning for HVAC construction and installation projects.
Key responsibilities include:
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC installation, upgrades, and retrofits
• Conduct quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and quotations
• Evaluate project risks, timelines, and cost variables
• Assist in preparing bids, proposals, and contract documents
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams
• Monitor project costs and provide updates throughout project lifecycle
• Support permit and compliance documentation where required

• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Construction Estimator (HVAC or mechanical preferred)
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, ductwork, and mechanical installations
• Experience with commercial and residential construction projects
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
