We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of building systems in a consulting environment. In this role, you will manage projects from conception through completion, oversee client relationships, and ensure systems are designed to the highest industry standards. The ideal candidate blends technical engineering excellence in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection with proven project management and business development capabilities.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 per year (Negotiable based on experience)

Key Responsibilities
System Design: Design advanced mechanical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and temperature controls.
Project Management: Plan project resources, maintain strict timelines, manage schedules, and ensure deliverables stay within budget.
Client Relations & Growth: Manage client relationships and actively participate in marketing, sales, and business development initiatives to drive firm growth.
Modeling & Simulation: Utilize building simulation tools to perform life-cycle costing, computer-based HVAC modeling, and system simulations.
Collaboration: Coordinate seamlessly with internal team members and multidisciplinary project stakeholders.
Quality Assurance: Maintain a high level of organizational oversight and strict attention to detail across all engineering documentation.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an accredited institution.
Experience: 5 to 10+ years of experience designing mechanical building systems specifically within a consulting environment.
Licensure:Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state OR actively on track to obtain certification as soon as eligible.
Must have the ability to register in Kentucky (KY) via comity within 6 months of hire, and attain licensure in other states as required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Core Capabilities: Solid knowledge of life-cycle costing and computer-based HVAC modeling/simulation programs.
Communication: Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
