Mechanical Engineer Job

A Mechanical Engineer is needed in Opelika, Alabama.

• Evaluate and monitor all aspects of mechanical production by conducting research and testing of all related components in automotive parts production.
• Analyze design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data related to mechanical components to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of mechanical machinery for manufacturing hard plastic automotive parts made from advanced composite materials.
• Interpret and analyze mechanical engineering specifications and proposed designs for product to select quality and cost-efficient mechanical machinery and equipment.
• Examine installation, assembly, and maintenance of mechanical machines for assembly lines.
• Develop the manufacturing process and design layouts of manufacturing machinery lines by analyzing the engineering requirements of the products.
• Research, modify, and test manufacturing methods and equipment.
• Calculate engineering costs to assist other departments in submitting bid proposals for obtaining orders from customers or purchasing mechanical equipment.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field of study
