D&G Logistics Inc. is a leading transportation company with a dedicated Truck and Trailer Repair Division. Currently, we are looking to hire two mechanic helpers to join our growing team.
Job Responsibilities:
• Move tools, equipment, and other materials as required.
• Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed.
• Clean machines and immediate work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and general inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working order.
• Assist with complex repairs, including part replacements, diagnosing mechanical issues, and supporting test drives to confirm repairs are successful.
• Help manage parts inventory and organize necessary components for repairs and maintenance.
• Support lead mechanics by handling tools, ensuring they are properly stored, maintained, and readily accessible during repair tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored safely and appropriately.
• Carry out light mechanical tasks like refueling, inspecting hoses and belts, and performing basic upkeep on equipment.
• Follow safety regulations and procedures, adhering to the instructions provided by lead mechanics and supervisors.
• Assist with documenting repairs and maintenance activities to ensure accurate records are kept for service tracking and compliance.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
• Must be able to handle physically demanding tasks.
• Requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
• Must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Skills and Personal Suitability:
• Organized and reliable.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
Qualifications:
• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
• Experience: Will train.
Workplace Information:
• Work must be completed at the physical location.
• No option for remote work.
