Meat Manager Job

What You’ll Do
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Meat Department
Cut, trim, grind, package, and merchandise fresh meat
Maintain a fresh, full, clean, and attractive meat case
Order product and manage inventory, shrink, and department expenses
Maintain food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
Train, lead, and schedule department employees
Work with vendors and store management
Provide knowledgeable, friendly customer service
Develop promotions and displays that drive sales
Monitor department sales, margins, labor, and overall profitability
What We’re Looking For
Previous meat-cutting experience
Meat department or grocery management experience preferred
Strong knowledge of meat cuts and proper handling
Good customer service and communication skills
Ability to lead a team and work independently
Someone who takes ownership and pride in their department
Reliable, organized, and willing to pitch in wherever needed
