Meat Department Manager Job

Hanahreum Mart Richmond in Richmond, BC is looking for a Meat Department Manager to work with our team.

Title: Meat Department Manager
Opening: 1 position (Permanent, Full-time)
Salary: CAD 46.00 – 48.00 per hour, At least 30 hours per week
Benefit: 4% of gross pay or 10 days of paid vacation, Extended health and dental benefits after probation

Requirements:
• Completion of secondary education is required
• 2 to 3 years of experience in meat handling environment, including butchery responsibilities, are required

Main Duties:
• Plan, direct, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the meat department at our Richmond store
• Supervise and assign duties to butchers and meat department staff, and ensure cutting specifications, food safety standards, and workflow are consistently maintained
• Monitor customer demand for specialty cuts, and adjust product selection and inventory levels accordingly
• Select and manage the range of meat products offered, and establish pricing in line with market and quality standards
• Source and negotiate with meat suppliers and vendors to secure quality products for the department
• Plan and execute promotional strategies and pricing for meat products to drive department sales
• Prepare and manage the department budget, monitor waste and shrink, and track revenues to meet profitability targets
• Respond to customer inquiries and concerns related to meat products, and maintain high standards of product quality and service
• Recruit, train, and develop meat department staff, and manage performance
