Materials Quality Engineering Specialist Job

Duties Include, but not limited to:

• Use the company's ERP quality management system to track raw-material and finished-product inspections, test data, grades, lot numbers, and quality reports.
• Perform MI, DSC, TGA, scratch-resistance, and specific gravity testing on engineering plastic materials to verify performance and specifications.
• Inspect finished products, including spectrophotometric color conformity checks, against customer quality and surface-property requirements.
• Collaborate with R&D personnel on raw-material combination testing and laboratory evaluations to support product performance improvements.
• Improve and standardize material test methods, including nylon melt-index testing, and perform periodic reliability tests and technical reporting.
• Apply statistical quality controls, including X-bar and R charts, to analyze variation, identify defects, and support corrective actions.
• Maintain ERP quality inspection records and support IATF 16949 audits, QMS documentation, material traceability, and laboratory procedure updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a closely related engineering field and more than six months of experience in materials testing or quality engineering.
• Experience with ERP-based quality management systems preferred.
