Materials Procurement Specialist Job

A Materials Procurement Specialist is needed in Tuskegee, Alabama.

• Coordinate materials purchasing and supply chain activities for manufacturing automotive components such as engine parts, transmission parts, and EV parts.
• Prepare purchasing orders and analyze bidding requirements for purchasing necessary materials in manufacturing.
• Compile purchasing records, sales performance, and inventory levels to assist management in development of strategic purchasing programs for overall business operations.
• Research and evaluate suppliers considering factors such as price, quality, service, availability, reliability and other track records.
• Evaluate the purchasing process and determine the most effective procurement process to maintain certain levels of inventory for manufacturing process.
• Maintain accuracy of purchasing documents and maintain regular follow-up with all suppliers and customers.
• Analyze purchasing materials requirements to maintain records of purchased items, costs, product performance.
• Confer with different departments to discuss defects of purchased materials, goods, or services and prepare corrective action.
• Keep track of market conditions and any changes affecting supply and demand levels to ensure seamless purchasing activities for manufacturing operations.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
