Job Description:
Automotive manufacturing supply chain is one of the most unforgiving environments in operations. When materials don't flow, the line doesn't run.
You'll need to Know Automotive Manufacturing From the Inside. Other backgrounds won't fit this one.
There's a plant that needs someone who already knows exactly what that feels like.
This isn't a generic manufacturing operation. They're running a full OEM supply chain with model year transitions, tier 1 supplier management, and a production floor where inventory failures show up immediately.
You'd own the full picture... inbound raw materials, production scheduling, finished goods shipment, and the supplier relationships that hold it all together. On-time delivery isn't a metric you report on... it's what the job is built around.
One of the more interesting pieces: visual inventory management built from scratch on the production floor. Not handed to you by IT... designed to match how this plant actually runs.
Model year transitions in automotive are some of the most complex change coordination in manufacturing. They need someone who's navigated that before... across the plant, the supplier base, and the customer, simultaneously.
Strong ERP depth is a real requirement. If you know how the supply chain looks from inside an automotive plant, this will feel familiar in the right ways.
If this sounds like your environment, reach out. I'll share the full picture... company, location, comp... in a quick conversation.
