Materials Environmental Protection Specialist Job

A Materials Environmental Protection Specialist is needed in Auburn, Alabama.

• Examine overall hazardous chemicals and materials handling, storing, and disposing in accordance with environmental regulations for manufacturing automotive parts, such as front and rear axle assembly, rear carrier assembly, half-shaft assembly, and cross grove joint for propeller shafts.
• Analyze materials and engineering specifications used during the manufacturing of automotive parts to ensure prevention of public and environment pollution.
• Inspect and maintain materials disposal process to ensure conformance with federal, state, or local regulations.
• Prepare and record materials inspection records to ensure dealing hazardous chemicals and materials in accordance with corporate and environmental regulations.
• Prepare documentations for permits, licenses, applications, and records that are necessary to confirm that the automotive parts are manufactured under the compliances with federal, state, or local environmental laws and regulations and licensing requirements.
• Conduct weekly inspections to monitor manufacturing activities to ensure compliance to state and federal environmental policies and enforcement of regulatory activities.
• Regularly notify the updated information regarding the environmental compliance rules and regulations by implementing monthly training to ensure educative actions for dealing and disposing industrial wastes that are produced during the manufacturing process.
• Research updated rules and regulations related to environmental requirements in state, federal, and local level as corporate’s regulation to maintain approved pretreatment, pollution prevention and hazardous programs during the manufacturing operations.

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
