Material Handler - NOC 75101 Job

HARVEST GRAIN ZEALANDIA LTD. is in need of Material Handler
NOC Code: 75101

Employment Terms: Permanent - Full Time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.) Load and unload product by hand or by conveyor system.
2.) Operate conveyors and loaders to load and unload product onto or off a truck.
3.) Load railway cars for export.
4.) Perform other material handling activities such as weighing, counting, sorting, packing and unpacking product.
5.) Bag, sew and load product.
6.) Operate legs and binning system to dump grain into the elevator system.
7.) Transfer grain to correct storage area or onto the cleaner.
8.) Operate grain cleaning equipment and monitor it to meet correct grain specifications for export.
9.) Conduct monthly bag inventories.
10.) Perform general housekeeping and maintenance to keep the warehouse tidy and clean.
WORKING HOURS:

* 8-10 hours/day, 40 hours/week
* Day Shift: 7:00 or 8:00 AM – 4:00 or 5:00 PM (2 days off)
* Night Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM (3 days off)

WAGE/BENEFITS: $20.00/hour, Enrolment in company group health benefits after 3 months probation (50:50 employee/employer share)

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
1.) Education: Some secondary education is required
2.) Work Experience: Previous related experience would be an asset but not required; On-the-job training will be provided
3.) Must be physical fit and be able to lift 50 lbs and above
4.) Must have good English communication skills with strong work ethic
5.) Must be able to work in a group or independently
6.) Driver's license is not required at the start of employment but must be willing to obtain one
