Material Handler for national top notch company Job

Position Overview

Full time temp to hire and Big Bumps in pay for past placements after getting hired often based on performance.

This position is responsible for processing materials to support production by performing the duties involved in receiving, stocking, issuing, and/or shipping materials/supplies. Operates material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This position works under direct supervision.

production by pulling and delivering all materials necessary to complete shop orders

· Supports receiving by verifying conformance to invoices and stocking all received components on the appropriate shelf location

· Verifies and maintains product identification and count

· Prepares inventory records and investigates discrepancies in stock counts

· Performs weigh counts for materials and stores them as necessary

· Obtains, moves, sorts and packages products and materials

Local Essential Functions

· Must be able to read and understand packing lists and shipping instructions

· Must be able to operate packaging equipment such as strapping machine, stretch wrapper, paper bundling machine, pallet jack.

· Be able to accurately package outbound product in appropriate boxes, and label correctly.

· Packs and audits shipments and is responsible for making sure order is correct before shipping.

· Loads small package shipments for FedEx and UPS

· Unload floor loaded containers and separate them onto skids by part number

· Previous warehouse experience in a pick/pack environment preferred

· Reading and writing in English, and basic math skills required

· Computer literacy and experience with shipping systems and ERP systems

· Basic knowledge of powered material handling equipment required

· Forklift certification preferred

· Ability to bend, lift, stoop, and reach with up to 50 pounds of material

· Ability to work under pressure in a demanding fast paced environment

· Ability to work as a team member with diverse personalities

· Good reasoning abilities and able to make sound judgements based on workflow

· Must be a self-starter who is flexible and has good organizational skills.

Education

· High School education or GED preferred.

Experience

· Minimum three (3) months related experience🔙❌

· Certified to operate rolling stock equipment

Skills

· Understanding of basic math skills – adding, subtracting and measuring

· Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format

· Ability to multi-task

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

· Ability to use judgement related to identifying potential safety hazards

Physical Demands

· This position requires 20lerical and planning and 80aterial handling, production assembly machine operations, and/or walking and assisting production employees

· Work is primarily performed on the manufacturing floor where noise levels may be moderate or high and hearing protection may have to be worn

· Eye and foot protection may have to be worn

· There is potential for lifting weights up to 45 lbs.
