Material Handler First Shift Job

Job Summary

The Material Handler: Is responsible for supplying, organizing and issuing all thermoplastic materials in a timely fashion to the Extrusion dept. This position also performs secondary operations for the dept. as needed.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

* Maintain and organize 2nd floor raw material storage area
* Prepares raw materials for daily production runs
* Review pending job orders to determine type and quantity of materials needed for pending jobs
* Weigh and measure materials and colorants using scales
* Responsible for issuing all materials used post job completion
* Operate as a team player to assist in meeting department goals
* Operate pneumatic tubing cutter to cut off-line jobs
* Performs secondary cutting and packaging of tubing
* Assist operators when needed in collecting tubing
* Able to measure critical tubing dimensions such as: I.D., O.D. and length
* Responsible for periodic cycle counting of all raw materials
* Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

* Entry level position, 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferable
