Job Description:
Position Summary

The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for increasing awareness of RETVE, communicating the platform’s value and supporting the gradual acquisition of users, partners and employer contacts.

The position will develop and implement marketing activities aligned with RETVE’s early-stage status. Initial efforts will focus on educational content, digital visibility, prototype demonstrations, user-feedback campaigns and relationship-based outreach rather than immediate large-scale advertising.

The Marketing Specialist will work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, management team, UI/UX and Web Designer, and Partnerships and Community Outreach Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement RETVE’s digital marketing plan.
- Prepare marketing campaigns for Veterans, employers and supporting organizations.
- Manage and update the company’s social-media channels.
- Create educational content relating to military-to-civilian transition, employment preparation, resume development and available support resources.
- Prepare website articles, newsletters, social-media posts and email communications.
- Coordinate platform demonstrations, webinars and virtual information sessions.
- Support prototype-testing and user-feedback campaigns.
- Develop promotional materials, feature summaries, brochures and partner information packages.
- Maintain consistent brand messaging across digital and printed materials.
- Clearly distinguish completed platform functions from prototype and future features.
- Support search-engine optimization and website-content improvements.
- Monitor website traffic, social-media engagement, email registrations and campaign performance.
- Identify appropriate online communities and outreach channels for reaching Veterans.
- Coordinate targeted advertising after market validation and management approval.
- Maintain marketing calendars, campaign records and content schedules.
- Support employer- and organization-focused communications.
- Collect and organize user questions, comments and market observations.
- Review campaign results and recommend improvements.
- Ensure that marketing communications avoid guarantees regarding employment, housing, benefits or other third-party outcomes.
- Apply appropriate consent and unsubscribe procedures to commercial electronic communications.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience

- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business administration, digital media or a related field.
- Experience in digital marketing, content creation or social-media management.
- Experience preparing marketing materials for a business, non-profit organization or digital product.
- Experience monitoring campaign performance and preparing basic marketing reports.
- Strong written communication skills.

- Familiarity with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation.
- Experience supporting the launch of an early-stage digital platform.
- Basic graphic-design or video-editing capability.
