Marketing Specialist
Term: Permanent Full-time
Work Hours: 30-40 hours/week
Salary: $36.60 per hour
Work Location: 4501 Kingsway #103, Burnaby, BC V5H 0E5
Gokudo Shabu Shabu Hotpot (Burnaby) is a well-established Japanese hotpot restaurant located on Kingsway, Burnaby, just a 5-minute walk from Crystal Mall. We are recognized in the Vancouver area for our 18+ unique soup bases, diverse combinations of premium meat, seafood, and vegetables, and an abundant variety of side dishes.
As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a Marketing Specialist to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies, strengthen our brand presence, and drive customer engagement across multiple channels. This role will play a key part in promoting our unique offerings, expanding our customer base, and ensuring the long-term success of the business.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Analyze the unique features of menu offerings and the overall dining experience to identify the restaurant’s marketing and advertising requirements.
2. Provide recommendations to management on marketing, advertising, and promotional strategies to attract new customers and encourage repeat business.
3. Plan, develop, and execute direct and digital marketing initiatives, including seasonal and festival-themed promotions, along with related content creation.
4. Track and evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns, preparing reports on key advertising and promotion metrics.
5. Operate and update the restaurant’s social media platforms (such as Instagram and Facebook), including responding to customer reviews and managing testimonials.
6. Design, implement, and assess public relations activities to strengthen the restaurant’s brand presence within the local community and among the general public.
7. Organize and conduct customer feedback surveys to understand dining preferences and identify opportunities for service or menu improvement.
8. Create or supervise the development of promotional materials, presentation decks, and website content to support marketing efforts.
9. Coordinate promotional events, tasting sessions, and special publicity activities for both internal staff and external customers.
10. Assist in producing and updating marketing materials such as flyers, posters, menus, and newsletters in accordance with established brand guidelines.

2. Minimum of one year experience as a marketing specialist or a related experience is required.
3. Ability to work closely with restaurant operations staff to support marketing initiatives, menu promotions, and customer engagement activities in a fast-paced environment.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-focused and problem-solving approach.
