We’re looking for a Market Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of GoodFlea — a curated flea market experience in New York City. This role is focused on ensuring smooth operations, supporting vendors, managing on-ground staff, and delivering a high-quality experience for both vendors and customers.
The position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple moving parts in a dynamic, high-energy setting.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee full market operations including setup, live trading hours, and breakdown
Manage vendor check-in, booth assignments, and overall vendor experience
Act as the main point of contact for vendors throughout the market
Supervise and coordinate on-ground staff to ensure smooth execution
Ensure the market layout, flow, and overall environment are organized and visually appealing
Handle real-time problem solving and operational issues as they arise
Monitor attendance, vendor performance, and overall market activity
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and customer experience
Support basic sales or customer interactions where needed
Qualifications
Strong organizational and time management skills
Confident leadership and ability to manage teams on the ground
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and solution-oriented under pressure
Previous experience in events, markets, retail, or operations preferred
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor or event-based environment
