Job Description:
We, A1 Granite & Marble Ltd., are looking for passionate candidates for the position of full-time Granite Tilesetter to join our dynamic team!
Position: Marble Tilesetter (NOC 73101)
Vacancies: 3
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (30 to 40 hours per week), Early Morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Shift, To be determined.
Hourly Wage: $35.00 - 37.00
Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Location: 10758 74 St SE, Calgary, AB T2C 5N6
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine layout and installation requirements
• Measure, mark, and prepare surfaces for the installation of granite, marble, quartz, ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone materials
• Install granite, marble, quartz, and other stone tiles on floors, walls, countertops, backsplashes, fireplace surrounds, staircases, and other surfaces
• Cut and shape stone and tile materials using hand tools, power tools, wet saws, and other specialized equipment
• Mix, lay and polish surfaces
• Prepare, apply, and spread mortar, thin-set adhesives, grout, and other setting materials.
• Align, level, and secure tiles and stone products according to project specifications and industry standards.
• Finish installations by grouting, caulking, polishing, sealing, and cleaning completed surfaces.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
• Repair, replace, and restore damaged stone and tile installations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Follow company safety procedures and occupational health and safety regulations.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
• Completion of high school education
• 7-12 months of work experience or certicate in related field
• Physical capability of performing duties
• Weigh handling up to 23kg (50lb)
• A driver’s license is required; own vehicle is an asset

• Team player, Flexibility, Effective interpersonal skills
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
• Physically demanding
• Handling heavy loads
• Bending, crouching, kneeling
