Plan IT Packaging is a manufacturer of equipment used to automate packaging processes. Over the past three years, the company has experienced significant growth and continues to expand its operations. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Manager to oversee production activities and support the company’s continued development. The successful candidate will bring experience with manufacturing machinery related to packaging and automation, with a strong focus on optimizing production processes, improving operational efficiency, and leading a growing manufacturing team.

MAIN JOB DUTIES
-Cost products and services
-Organize day-to-day business operations
-Ensure adherence to safety regulations
-Review HR directives to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
-Plan and maintain production schedules
-Supervise staff or team
-Identify community skills, assets, issues and needs
-Help with scheduling and workflow
-Monitor production and troubleshoot production problems
-Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations for packaging machinery assembly, integration, and testing.
-Plan and schedule production activities to meet project timelines, customer requirements, and delivery targets.
-Supervise production teams including technicians, assemblers, and department leads.
-Ensure all equipment is built according to engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
-Identify and resolve production issues; lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
-Improve manufacturing processes through Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
-Coordinate with engineering, procurement, service, and sales teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.
-Oversee machine testing and preparation for FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
-Monitor production costs, resource allocation, and efficiency metrics.
-Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety policies and company procedures.
AREA OF SPECIALIZATION: Process improvement, Testing
OTHER INFORMATION
Work Experience Required: 1 year to less than 2 years as a Manufacturing Manager in a related setting
Minimum Education Required: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Language: English workplace language
Wage Range: $52.88 per hour
Hours: 40 per week
