REPORTS TO (POSITION):


Position Purpose:



In this position, the co-op will be exposed to a variety of mechanical design and development engineering functions.


Essential Functions:


Work with AutoCAD and Creo (Pro Engineer) to create/revise part and assembly drawings and 3D models.



Assist in consolidating and updating product family drawings.



Assist in obsoleting legacy product drawings and part numbers.



Observe that all applicable quality standards are met in the product.



Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.

Education and Training


Mechanical Engineering or related course of study preferred.


Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 recommended.


Minimum Qualifications


Experience in a metalworking and fabricating environment a positive.


Hands-on experience with CAD technology is a strong positive (AutoCAD, Creo Pro Engineer)


Experience performing DFMEAs a positive.


Study of automatic welding/hand welding a positive.


Excellent mechanical aptitude.


Introduction to GD&T a positive.


Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Strong written and verbal communication.


Strong PC skills (spreadsheets, databases, word processing) a must.
